Abstract

Process input analysis may be considered within the same framework as process synthesis and process output analysis. In this paper, two different modes of process input analysis are discussed; namely, the direct data handling approach and the analytical approach. An application is presented in which process input analysis is employed to correct for a consistent bias in the experimental data caused by the detection system. The corrected data are in excellent agreement with similar data obtained b a different technique.
