EXTENDED GRAETZ PROBLEM-A COMPARISON OF VARIOUS SOLUTION TECHNIQUES

Abstract

Analytical solutions to the extended Graetz problem with viscous dissipation and internal heat generation are worked out using the variational method. The reliability of this method is assessed by comparing these solutions with those obtained from the series expansion and numerical methods.
