APPLICATION OF CATALYTIC CRYSTALLITE THERMOMETRY TO INTERPHASE TRANSPORT STUDIES

Abstract

Average catalyst and fluid temperatures are measured during Ni/SiO₂ catalyzed ethane hydrogenolysis in a differential reactor, allowing calculation of effective interphase Nusselt numbers. Early results of an effort to develop a correlation for this effective interphase Nusselt number are presented and discussed
