Abstract
A simplified method for prediction of contrast was developed. The method is based on two overlay charts for computation of the contrast due to light coming directly from the luminaires and two other overlay charts for computation of the contrast due to light reflected by the room surfaces. These charts can be plotted by computer and used as regular isolux curves or they may be stored in the computer memory and used as a simplified computer program, faster and, therefore, more economic than a conventional one. Printouts with results validating the method are presented.
