Abstract
Foreword—In 1957, the IES published its first “Lighting Outdoor Locations of Central Station Properties.” Since that time, there have been many changes in design and operating procedures, for example, these stations are now known as Electric Generating Stations. This report represents a complete revision of the 1957 publication. It includes additional information on hydroelectric and pump storage stations, nuclear station outdoor facilities, and fossil fuel plants. In addition, the entire report reflects the new station designs and operating procedures that are now in existence.
