Abstract
The thermochemically predicted conditions for an operable tungsten cycle in the quartz-bromine lamps were successfully tested with the 500-watt, 120-volt, T3 lamp type. These conditions indicated an average lamp life close to 4000 hours for the three-atm, methylene bromide doped, argon-filled lamps
