Optimization of the Quality of Roadway Lighting Installations—Especially under Adverse Weather Conditions

Abstract

For traffic safety at night, a roadway lighting installation must provide sufficient visual information for a user to correctly react in time. The author states that this will be possible only if the installation insures both “reliability of perception” and “comfortable visual conditions.”
