An Automated High-Speed Photometer

&
Pages 105-110 | Published online: 20 Sep 2013

Abstract

An advanced photometry system was built to test beam-type incandescent filament lamps and was designed to meet present and forseeable testing standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The system normally operates in a conversational mode with the human operator commanding a minicomputer, but it can operate in an unattended mode with commands entered via paper tape. The authors discuss the development, principles and criteria for this automated photometry system.
