Abstract

This paper explores the parameters which might be involved in the concept of visual clarity. The authors conclude that the evidence does not warrant the use of the term visual clarity as being distinguishable from such concepts as apparent brightness, colorfulness, and visibility. Moreover, they conclude that the need to understand that observers evaluate satisfaction and clarity/brightness separately is evident.
