Dimming of the 26 mm Diameter Fluorescent Lamps

Abstract

In this paper, results from an experimental study carried out on dimming of 36 W, 26 mm diameter fluorescent lamps are given. Only methods allowing the use of traditional components, such as normal inductive ballasts and starters have been considered. Commercial lamp cathode heaters providing a rated voltage of 6.5 V have been used in all examined cases.

Ce document présente les résultats d'une étude expérimentale portent sur la régulation de lampes fluorescentes de 36 W et 26 mm de diamétre. L'étude ne prend en considération que les méthodes permettant l'emploi d'éléments de type courent, tels que starters et ballasts inductifs normaux. Des éléments de chauffage de cathode de lampe de type courant donnant une tension nominale de 6.5 V sont utilisés dans tous les cas examinés.

En este trabajo se ofrecen los resultados de un estudio experimental sobre la atenuación luminosa de las lámparas fluorescentes de 36 W y 26 mm. Sólo se han tomado en cuenta los métodos que permiten el uso de componentes tradicionales, tales como resistencias compensadoras inductivas normales y cebadores. En todos los casos examinados se han utilixado calefactores catódicos de lámparas comerciales que proporcionan un voltaje nominal de 6.5 V.
