Pages 137-140 | Received 12 Apr 1989, Accepted 12 Jul 1990, Published online: 01 Jun 2012

Abstract

Fusarium graminearum Schwabe was consistently isolated from stub dieback lesions on carnations in the Auckland region of New Zealand. Fusarium stem rots of carnation are also caused by F. culmorum (W.G. Smith) Sacc. and F. avenaceum (Ft.) Sacc. in New Zealand. Pathogenicity of F. graminearum isolates to carnation was confirmed.
