A cross‐cultural study of Korean and American students’ schemata and cultural rules for negotiations

Pages 111-136 | Published online: 18 May 2009

Abstract

Asian students comprise one of the largest groups of international students to complete their higher education in the US. In adapting to increasingly diverse classes, teachers need to be aware of how different cultural norms can affect the learning process. One important factor to be influenced by different cultural rules is that of negotiation in the classroom.
