Propaganda and Persuasion — Trends in the Malaysian Mass Media

Abstract

Propaganda can be termed an invisible force that permeates through messages. Many Third World journalists lament that the First World propagate in their best interest. Propaganda is not confined to the authoritarian and totalitarian states alone. It is pervasive even in the democracies. Malaysia is no exception with its rigid press laws, political clutches and self-censorship?
