Abstract
This paper focuses on the impact of new technologies including IT on the Asia-Pacific, a region regarded as the fastest growing in the world today. How has IT affected the growth of Asia-Pacific nations? Why is IT an intrinsically relevant technology to promote particularly in the developing countries of the Asia‘Pacific? And who will benefit most from it? These questions and the close links between IT and privatization are discussed in this paper.
