Use and Preference of Mass Media for Transferring Household Messages to Rural Families in India

Abstract

This paper examines the importance of the roles played by radio, television and the newspapers in bring developmental messages to rural households and villages. It suggests that programmes and articles written to upgrade the skills and knowledge of the womenfolk in these villages should prove to be beneficial to the rural society as a whole as women play a significant role in the home as well as in operations outside the home.
