The Impact of New Communication Technologies on Cultural Identity in Rural Asia

Abstract

In this article, the author reviews the knowledge on new communication technologies pertaining to cultural identity and technology combined with the keywords culture and rural development in Asia. For solution or resolution, two areas of concern were advanced namely, policy based on people’s needs instead of free play of market forces, and media education.
