Ferroelectric–ferroelastic domains kinetic studies in KDP crystal by deflection of light

Abstract

Deflection of light studies of the ferroelectric–ferroelastic domains kinetic under influence of the external electric field are presented. Electric field was applied to a sample of potassium dihydrogen phosphate crystal in c-plane. A dependence of the deflected light intensity on external electric field was observed. It was shown that domains switching process is destructive for the sample.
