Christian Faith and Religious Education: A Perspective from the Theology of Liberation

Summary

This article explores the implications of Christian faith for religious education. Drawing on the insights of Liberation Theology, it examines some of the theoretical and practical problems posed to religious education by the socio‐economic‐cultural conditioning and pluralism of Christian faith. It suggests that the confessional and non‐confessional approaches cannot be radically distinguished.
