Abstract
The local release factors k, which denote the release effect of the impurity-ligand bond along the C4 axis at the cubic-to-tetragonal phase transition, are studied for Mn2+ ion in RbCaF3 and RbCdF3 crystals by analysing the magnetic resonance data. The results show that, similar to the local order parameters Ø at the same |T – T c|, the local release factors k for both doped crystals are close to each other, but they are different from the intrinsic release factors in the corresponding host crystals.
