The elastic field of a circular prismatic dislocation lying in the interface between two isotropic solids are obtained. It is shown that the interface transmits shearing tractions in the form of a Dirac delta function. The energy of the loop and the force due to line tension are derived and the results are compared with the two-dimensional problem.
