Abstract

In this paper it is shown that it is possible to deduce ferrite-austenite orientation relationships from observed precipitate orientations in two particular iron-base alloys. From the results, it is also shown that for ferrite which contains ‘inter-phase’ precipitates, a unique three-phase crystallography is adopted between ferrite, carbide and austenite.
