Abstract

Trapping of hydrogen by substitutional impurity metal atoms (Me) has been studied by means of magnetic relaxation experiments in alloys of Ni. The measured binding energies of the diatomic MeH complexes are interpreted in terms of electronic and elastic interactions between the impurity and the hydrogen atoms.
