Abstract

The recovery of Zn deformed at 77 K has been studied by means of positron lifetime measurements. Two recovery stages are found, in agreement with previous transmission electron microscopy observations. It has been shown that positrons are sensitive to the jog length, suggesting that positrons are annihilated rather in the jogs than in the dislocation line.
