Abstract

A theory was developed for formation of micro-cracks and lattice cleavage due to dislocation reactions in L12 type intermetallic compounds. The L12 type intermetallic compounds might be cleaved on {001} and {11X}, where X = 0, 1,2, 4 and so on, being coincident with experimental observations.
