Abstract
Monte Carlo computer simulation is employed to explore the extent of validity of the two approximations explored in part I of this work. It is found that approximation I is very poor, with the calculated f', the impurity correlation factor for dislocation pipe diffusion, differing from the simulated data markedly. On the other hand, the calculations based on approximation II show a good estimation for f', not only when the exchange frequencies for diffusion in and outside the dislocation pipe are similar, but also when they are rather different. The Monte Carlo results also show that the impurity form for correlation factors is satisfied quite well for the present model.
