Abstract
The shift lattice, introduced by Harburn, Tilley, Williams and Williams in 1993, is here generalized to more than one dimension and described in some detail for two dimensions. Applications to H-Nb2O5-related block structures and to alloy two-dimensional antiphase domain structures (with particular reference to copper-palladium) are discussed for real and reciprocal spaces.
