Abstract
A recent simulation of dislocation dynamics in L12 alloys, by Devincre, Veyssière, Kubin and Saada (DVKS), brought some new insight into the controversial problem of strength anomalies in these materials. The results of the simulation are discussed and compared with those of previous analytical models. Some interesting consequences on strain rate sensitivity and work-hardening rate, which were not discussed by DVKS, are presented on the basis of a combination of pre-existing models.
