Abstract
A previous paper Barbu and Lidiard analysed an atomic model for the migration of substitutional solute atoms in dilute bcc alloys under irradiation. The present paper proposes vacancy and interstitial jump frequencies and other parameters for use in this model for the practically important case of the migration of phosphorus atoms in ferritic pressure vessel steels. These are obtained from a reconsideration of data previously discussed by Druce et al. and McElroy et al. Comparison is also made with the existing limited theoretical and experimental information on this system.
