Abstract
The electrical resistivity and absolute thermoelectric power of the liquid Ag1‐x Ga x system have been measured over the whole composition range. The resistivity shows a maximum for silver‐rich alloys and the thermoelectric power decreases from the value of silver to that of gallium. The experimental results are interpreted and discussed in term of the Ziman formula using the t‐matrix formalism with hard‐sphere structure factors. The concentration and energy dependences of the phase shifts have been taken into account for a complete resistivity and thermopower calculation.
