Gauge/string duality; first achievements

Pages 233-258 | Published online: 01 Feb 2007

Abstract

We briefly review the duality between gauge theories and strings. The examples of the duality are presented at the level of supergravity and classical string approximations. The role of the hidden integrability is discussed.
