Thermoluminescence of pretreated NaCl: Sr crystals

Abstract

Thermal glow curves of thermally pretreated NaCl:Sr crystals have been recorded after irradiation with ultraviolet light at room temperature. The observed glow curves exhibit a prominent glow peak at 380°K only when the specimen is annealed and quenched from 750°C. This peak is attributed to the dipole clusters which disintegrate after heating the specimen beyond 380°K
