Notes

The topic of ‘seasonal landscapes’ arose out of a Nordic Grant Scheme supporting academic exchanges between the Nordic and Baltic countries within the project ‘Nordic Dimension in European Cultural Landscapes’. All except one of the papers in this volume of Landscape Research were presented at the Nordic research course on ‘Landscape and Seasonality’ held at Roosta in Estonia, 6 – 11 May 2003.
