Abstract
(1). The effects of two sources and three levels of nitrogen on yeild and nutritive value of Corchorus Olitorius (Tiliaceae) were investigated in the greenhou se. (2). C. olitorius showed greater response to N applied in No3- form than that applied in NH4 form in terms of yield and quality. (3) Higher Ca and Mg content were obtained with No3-N than NH4-N. (4) Higher P and K content Were obtained with NH4-N. (5) Increasing N application also increased ascorbic acid content.
