SYNOPSIS
Depending on the prevailing conditions in a horticultural greenhouse, different depths of ground participate in heat transfer interactions. Thus the effective thermal capacity of the ground within the greenhouse varies with time. A method is described of determining the effective apparent ground thermal capacity in a horticultural greenhouse, either using a dynamic simulation model or from experimental measurements.
