SYNOPSIS
A computer simulation program to examine the process and performance of a tunnel-type directly irradiated solar agricultural dryer with an integrated collector is presented. This is based on the heat flow network model of the tunnel, including the integrated collector of optional length, on the heat and mass balance equations for the air flowing through the drying space and on the lumped, multi-layer mass transport model of the static layer of the material under drying. The predicted results have been verified by experiments for drying camomile.
