A sea surface fractal model for ocean remote sensing

Abstract

In this letter we propose and validate a sea surface fractal model suitably tailored for the application of ocean remote sensing by means of active sensors. The model includes both statistical and fractal properties of the surfaces and also accounts for the linear behaviour of sea waves' generation and propagation.
