Abstract
This research aimed at studying the spectral reflectance intensity of different exposed volcanic rocks in Syria, and drawing their curves by radiometer measurements. In order to reach this goal, we have studied different kinds of volcanic rocks related to different ages, from the Jurassic until the recent Quaternary, and composed of fresh and altered basalt, phonolite and volcanic tuff.

We measured the reflected rays of the volcanic rocks by using radiometers equipped with filters for the multi‐spectral scanners (TM, MSS and SPOT), and the recorded information was treated according to the equation
