Abstract
An inexpensive pocket computer was programmed to calculate target reflectances and related statistics from radiometer measurements. The use of a programmable pocket computer can ensure that reliable data have been collected while the measurement team is still in the field.
Notes
†This short note is published not because it contains any great scientific discovery but because I believe that we need to give more emphasis in remote sensing to the use of simple instruments and techniques for educational and other purposes. Other contributions with this philosophy will also be welcome.—Editor.
