Abstract

Arminghall Hall was built by Nicholas Herne around 1600 and, later in the century, was purchased by the Pettus family. They remained owners until the end of the eighteenth century. The house underwent substantial alterations in the nineteenth century, and by 1890 was occupied as two cottages. Little of the original building now survives.Footnote65
