Melissa Parker
Melissa Parker is a Professor of Medical Anthropology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Since the 1980s, she has carried out anthropological research in Uganda, Sudan, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom on a wide range of global health issues, including epidemic preparedness and response. In 2014, she established the Ebola Response Anthropology Platform with colleagues from Sierra Leone and the UK. Hayley MacGregor
Hayley MacGregor is trained as a medical doctor in South Africa and as an anthropologist in the UK. She is co-leader of Health and Nutrition and a researcher at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. Her current research interests include meanings and practices of epidemic preparedness, with a focus on settings in Africa. Grace Akello
Grace Akello is an Associate Professor in Medical Anthropology. She is convener of the pioneer Master’s Program in Medical Anthropology in East and Central Africa.
