The effects of communication apprehension on nonverbal behavior

Abstract

This paper summarizes recent research on communication apprehension indicating the breadth of the impact of this handicap in interpersonal communication. Drawing upon theoretical propositions generated from previous research, it provides suggestions for future research on the impact of communication apprehension on nonverbal elements in interpersonal communication.
