Abstract
This study investigated the effects of context on speakers' language behavior. Transcripts of speakers in a public context and personal context were analyzed for lexical diversity and rhetorical interrogatives. Results indicated that speakers use greater lexical diversity and fewer rhetorical interrogatives in the public context than in the personal context.
