Abstract
The late Gordon F. Hostettler was an innovative and inspiring teacher. This article depicts Hostettler as seen through the eyes of a Master's candidate. He fostered the growth of the Speech Department at Temple University, but the greatest legacy to the profession is contained in “Speech as a Liberal Study.”
