Abstract
A liquid chromatography procedure is described for the simultaneous separation of seven water soluble vitamins in pharmaceutical pteparations. The vitamins are separated on a CR bonded-phase column and eluted with a gradient solvent program. A microprocessor controlled variable wavelength ultraviolet detector is used to automatically change detection wavelength to optimize detection of each vitamin. Pharmaceutical preparations are briefly sonicated in a dimethyl sulfoxide-water mixture, centrifuged, and an aliquot injected directly onto the column.
