Abstract

Trimetrexate (2,4-diamino-5-methyl-6-[(3,4,5-trimethoxyanilino)methyllquinazoline), (Fig. 1), a potent inhibitor of dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), has demonstrated antitumor activity against murine and human cell lines both in vitro and against a spectrum of murine tumors in vivo (1,Z).
