Abstract
The analytical potential of Ti(IV) arsenate as an ion exchangar has been explored by the thin layer chromatographic technique. Binder-free thin layers of titanium arsenate have been prepared, and several important binary and ternary separations of chemically similar elements have been achieved using 0.1 M citric acid, 0.1 M Tartaric acid and 0.1 M Oxalic acid as the solvents. On the basis of Rf values, the Ksp of some metal arsenates have been predicted.
