An input‐output analysis of South Carolina's economy: With special reference to coastal tourism and recreation

Abstract

This study presents the results of an input‐output model that was developed using nonsurvey methods for the State of South Carolina, with specific reference being paid to coastal tourism and recreation activities. Of specific interest is how the results of this model, output, income, and employment multipliers can be used for making planning and economic impact assessment decisions related to growth and change as a consequence of these activities in the coastal zone.
