Principal components‐like procedures for cross‐tabulated recreation data: An illustration from search activity related to park choice

Abstract

A principal components‐like method for analyzing cross‐tabulated recreation data is illustrated. Application of the proposed method is to data concerned with information search by re creationists selecting an urban park in which to recreate. The advantages of the methodology introduced over the usual methods for analyzing recreation data in cross‐classification tables are illustrated.
