ON THE THEORY OF MIXTURES OF THERMOELASTIC SOLIDS

Pages 389-408 | Received 30 Sep 1990, Published online: 14 Jul 2010

A theory for binary mixtures of thermoelastic solids is presented in which the independent constitutive variables are the displacement gradients, relative displacement, temperature, and temperature gradient. The theory is linearized, and a uniqueness result is established.
