Special Education in Nigeria

SPECIAL EDUCATION now serves students at all levels in Nigeria. Differences exist between states and between urban and rural areas. Considerable efforts have been made to promote integration though special schools are also an important part of the service pattern. Special education needs to be coordinated with improved health care and early diagnosis of disabilities.
